Message from the Amtek directors

COVID-19 (coronavirus) Amtek Business Continuity Plan
 
As you all are aware, we are experiencing some major life changing impacts on our way of living due to this outbreak. The impact of this outbreak will undoubtedly have long term effects on all of us and more than ever we need to support one another, support our families and follow the guidance provided by the authorities.
 
With the COVID-19 virus impacting every aspect of our community, AMtek management has been closely monitoring government advice to ensure we can prioritise the safety of our staff, subcontractors and suppliers.
 
It is expected that Subcontractors and Suppliers have their own continuity planning and procedural evolvement for health, safety and well-being of its staff and workforce pertaining to the progressive and responsible management of COVID-19.
 
For undertaking, as a minimum standard, we respectfully insist that all subcontractors and suppliers adhere to the following guidelines described below:
 
1.Understand the Symptoms, these include:
  • fever
  • coughing
  • sore throat
  • fatigue
  • shortness of breath
 
2.practise good hygiene 
3.practise social distancing
4.follow the limits for public gatherings
5.understand how to self-isolate if you need to
 
The health and safety and wellbeing of Amtek Employees, subcontractors, suppliers and members of the public continues to be our fundamental priority, whilst maintaining our ability to service our clients. It is our intention to slow down the spread by ensuring we follow up to date advice provided by our State and Federal Government Authorities and by implementing strategies and control measures throughout our business operations. These measures include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining Social distancing between all staff members, subcontractors, suppliers and the public
  • Office based staff to operate remotely where feasible
  • Minimisation of site based visits and meetings where feasible
  • Teleconference meetings between all project teams
  • Daily communication is being issued to field and office staff with advise and updates
  • Commencing field crews at individual sites to avoid gatherings in the Depot
  • Allocation of plant, trucks and machinery to individual crews to avoid cross over with staff
  • Each field crew has been equipment with disinfectant cleaning products to ensure daily cleaning of plant and equipment
  • Minimising the necessity of staff members travelling in vehicles together where feasible
  • Daily sanitising and cleaning of any plant and equipment returned to the depot
  • Sanitising stations and advice posters have been put in place around the office and depot to reduce the potential for virus spread
  • Clear social distancing markings on the floor around the office and depot
  • Non-essential visitors to Amtek premises have been temporarily banned
 
This is obviously a challenging time for everyone, however, you can be assured that as a team we are united in our commitment to doing what we can to stop the spread of this dreadful virus and remain available to provide our services at the standards you have come to expect from us.
